This holiday season, wow your guests with my recipe for Eggnog Chai Latte with Cardamon Whipped Cream! Each cuppa Eggnog Chai Latte offers a luxurious, spiced flavor experience perfect for the cozy season.
The creamy base of traditional eggnog brings its signature richness, with hints of nutmeg and vanilla creating a sweet, velvety backdrop. Then, the chai sweeps in with its warming spices of cinnamon, ginger, and clove—adding a bold, aromatic warmth to balance the sweetness of the eggnog and whipped cream. The recipe uses a chai concentrate, so no brewing at home! Just heat, froth, and mix everything together (using the method below).
Top it all off with homemade cardamom whipped cream! This added layer of indulgence will surely wow your favorite people this holiday season! It’s the perfect start to a cozy afternoon together.
Before creating this recipe, I searched high and low for how to use chai concentrate that was more than just “add milk”. I wanted a way to make my afternoon cuppa chai using Chiya Chai concentrate just a little extra and a little more magical during the holiday season.
It was important to me to create a recipe using chai concentrate that allowed the chai flavors to shine, while also enhancing the notes of cardamon (a spice I LOVE). And, adding a little holiday flare (hence, the eggnog). The recipe that emerged did precisely what I had hoped for, and I am so proud of it. Even my 10-year-old daughter said, “Wow, wow, wow—the spice! The sweet! I’m not sure what I expected, but this is delicious!”. So, with her approval, here is my recipe for Eggnog Chai Latte with Cardamon Whipped Cream using chai concentrate from Chiya Chai.

A Few Helpful Tips for Making this Eggnog Chai Latte with Cardamon Whipped Cream
Ready to make this Eggnog Chai Latte with Cardamom Whipped Cream? Here are a few helpful tips to get you started.
- Not every chai concentrate is created equal. I highly recommend using Chiya Chai (hand-brewed in my home state of Minnesota!).
- While a milk frother isn’t completely necessary, it does add a little extra flare!
- Be careful not to over-mix the whipped cream (or it will deflate and could become clumpy).
- This recipe should yield ~2 small- to medium-sized teacups. You can double the recipe for larger coffee mugs or more people.
Here’s the Recipe for my Eggnog Chai Latte with Cardamon Whipped Cream!
Eggnog Chai Latte with Cardamon Whipped Cream
Equipment
- 1 Preferred mixing bowl/mixer with whisk attachment
- 1 Milk frother of choice (handheld or espresso machine will work)
Ingredients
Eggnog Chai Latte Ingredients
- 1.5 Cups Chiya Chai (Original Masala)
- 2/3 Cup Almond Milk (or, your preferred milk)
- 1/3 Cup Eggnog
- 1 tsp. Sugar (if desired)
Cardamon Whipped Cream Ingredients
- 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 2-3 Tbsp. Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp. Cardamon Spice
Instructions
- Make the Cardamon Whipped Cream first. Start by whipping the heavy whipping cream in your mixing bowl on high until stiff peaks form. Then, mix in 2-3 tbsp of powdered sugar to taste (start with 2 Tbsp. if you want it to be less sweet). Once you’ve found the desired sweetness, mix in 1 tsp. of cardamon spice.
- Be careful not to over-mix. Set aside.
- To make the Eggnog Chai Latte, stir the almond milk and eggnog together. If you have an espresso machine with a milk frother, heat and froth the eggnog mix this way. (Alternatively, heat the almond milk and eggnog in the microwave and froth with a handheld milk frother.)
- Heat the chai separately (in the microwave works just fine!).
- Put the heated chai concentrate in your mugs first (it should yield ~2 small tea cups/coffee mugs). Then, add the eggnog mixture on top. Stir in sugar to taste.
- Add the whipped cream on top.
- Serve with your choice of cookies or a Danish. Enjoy!
