On a recent mommy-and-me trip with my 10-year-old daughter, we discovered that Paris isn’t just romantic; it’s incredibly family-friendly, too. From charming cafés to fun dining spots, we quickly realized that exploring the city with kids is a delicious journey in itself. My daughter played a huge role in planning our meals, and her picks didn’t disappoint. If your kids love good food and new experiences, these six kid-approved restaurants will make your time in Paris both delicious and memorable! Note: We stayed in the 2nd arrondissement, so many of our restaurant recommendations are centered around this neighborhood.

Tips for Eating in Paris with Kids

Before covering our favorite places to eat in Paris with kids, here are a few restaurant tips:

• Cash or Card? We never needed cash during our recent family trip to Paris. Though, I do feel it’s helpful to have at least some cash on you while traveling. 
• When to eat: In Paris, most restaurants serve lunch after 12 PM and dinner after 7 PM – though you’ll want to confirm hours online before you go. Plan to arrive or book a reservation around those times for the first seating. Alternatively, for more flexibility, brasseries and cafés often offer continuous service throughout the day.
• Many restaurants in Paris offer either a kids’ plate or a kids’ menu (almost all the restaurants in this article have one). Many aren’t listed on the menu or online, but ask your server for the options. 
• If there is somewhere you know that you want to eat, make reservations ahead of time. Most restaurants take reservations online or through WhatsApp.

Brasserie Rosie Lou

Lunch at Brasserie Rosie Lou was one of our favorite meals the whole trip! Located in the 2nd arrondissement, this beautiful spot has a marine-inspired design, a fantastic menu, and a very friendly staff. It’s a great choice for lunch or dinner, and they even offer a kids’ plate, making it one of the best restaurants in Paris for families with kids. Reservations are definitely recommended!

The menu features French classics like onion soup, Basque tartare, and croque-monsieur. I opted for a delicious rabbit dish, while my daughter enjoyed crispy chips with Iberian ham. Of course, we couldn’t pass up on dessert—both were beautifully presented and easily two of the best we had in Paris. Brasserie Rosie Lou quickly became one of our favorite family-friendly spots!

Brasserie Dubillot

If you’re searching for the best restaurants in Paris for families, make sure to check out Brasserie Dubillot! This lively brasserie offers a seasonal menu featuring regional dishes, with both indoor seating and a charming street-side terrace. It’s a great spot for family dining; reservations are highly recommended.

The menu is packed with French classics—I thoroughly enjoyed my bavette de bœuf, while my daughter was thrilled with her kids’ plate. If you get the chance, try the onion soup! They were out when we visited, but it looked incredible. My daughter couldn’t stop raving about this meal for the rest of the trip, so if you’re in Paris with tweens, Brasserie Dubillot is a must!

Dinner at Le Cassenoix

After tons of searching for the best restaurants in Paris with kids near the Eiffel Tower, we found Le Cassenoix—and I’m so glad we did! While they don’t have a specific kids’ menu, the staff went out of their way to accommodate my daughter, offering kid-friendly accommodations like no sauce and adjusting dishes to suit her tastes.

Le Cassenoix is a charming spot with an outstanding prix fixe menu featuring French bistro-style dishes. The staff was excellent, and to top it off, it’s budget-friendly, especially because it is so close to the Eiffel Tower. Out of all the meals we had in Paris, this one stood out as the best for me. Definitely make reservations ahead of time!

The menu changes seasonally, and when we visited, I enjoyed a Moroccan-inspired lamb with couscous, while my daughter loved her simple pork and rice. The desserts were next-level—truly unforgettable. If you’re looking for one of the best restaurants in Paris with kids, Le Cassenoix won’t disappoint!

Breizh Café

Nestled between Rue Montorgueil and Rue du Nil, this spot is known for its signature crêpes and galettes, plus a great selection of ciders and wines. Breizh Café was a short walk from our hotel, a must-visit for crêpe lovers in Paris! 

Their menu is packed with sweet, savory, and specialty crêpes, perfect for a family-friendly meal or dessert. With several locations around the city (we visited the 14 Rue des Petits Carreaux location), you can easily pop into one no matter where you are. If you’re wondering where to eat crepes in Paris with kids—definitely add Breizh Café to your list of restaurants to try in Paris with kids!

Pains & Délices

I had big plans for the day we popped into Pains & Délices (12 Rue du Faubourg Poissonnière). I was looking for excellent pastries near our hotel in the 2nd arrondissement, and I found them at Pains & Délices. But, I made a little miscalculation—they didn’t have seating, and there wasn’t a park or bench nearby to enjoy our treats. 

Looking back, I wish we had just taken the pastries back to the hotel before heading out. Instead, we ended up carrying them all the way to our next stop, Galeries Lafayette. Despite the detour, the pastries were absolutely worth it! So, I highly recommend this spot—just be sure to plan ahead for where you’ll enjoy your breakfast.

Oni Coffee Shop

Kick off a day of exploration in Paris at Oni Coffee Shop. This cozy gem is tucked away in the 2nd arrondissement, near Hotel Les Théâtres (where we stayed). This was one of the first places we ate in Paris. With indoor and outdoor seating, plus a nice bathroom, Oni Coffee Shop is a must for a quick breakfast in Paris with kids if you’re staying nearby.

We picked Oni because it was close to our hotel and conveniently on the way to our afternoon stop, the Musée d’Orsay. The coffee shop is charming, with a welcoming vibe and super friendly staff that make you feel right at home.

They offer a full coffee and espresso menu, along with pastries, hot breakfasts, and lunch. My daughter devoured the avocado toast, while I couldn’t resist a seasonal raspberry and pistachio tart with my coffee. It’s not fancy, but it’s exactly what you need to start the day, making it one of my top recommendations for restaurants in Paris for families with kids.
