Croft Kitchen and Bar
My favorite restaurant in Crosby? Croft Kitchen and Bar in downtown Crosby, of course! It’s a bit off the main drag, making it feel like a hidden gem. In my opinion, it’s one of the best restaurants in Crosby for families with kids for lunch or dinner.
The menu is packed with pub favorites like walleye fish tacos (yes, fresh walleye!), burgers, handhelds, and flatbreads. Everything we’ve tried here has been fantastic, especially the cheese curds and walleye tacos. They also have a great kids’ menu for little ones.

Red Raven
Stop for coffee or lunch at Red Raven, the ultimate bike-themed café! Located in downtown Crosby, Red Raven is perfect for fueling up before a day of adventure in the Cuyuna Lakes Region.
Their in-house roasted coffee is top-notch. And, their breakfast (I love their breakfast wrap), panini, and lunch menus are equally impressive. Grab a bite indoors or soak up the sun at their (seasonal) outdoor seating. No matter where you sit, you’ll love the cozy vibe.
If you’re swinging by for lunch, they offer draft beer to pair with your sandwich. Prefer to eat on the go? Grab your meal and head to a nearby playground for a family picnic before diving into your Cuyuna adventures! We often do this with coffee in the mornings so that our daughter can eat and play. Meanwhile, we have a relaxing start to the day, chatting over coffee at a nearby table. With such a versatile menu and to-go options, it’s no surprise that this is one of the best restaurants in Crosby with kids.

Cuyuna Brewing is hands down one of my favorite breweries in Minnesota, and it’s perfect for families! The welcoming taproom is not only kid-friendly but also stocked with games to keep everyone entertained. Ice Cream from Victual
If you’re wondering where to get ice cream in Crosby with kids, head to Victual in downtown! They offer the best lactose-free ice cream in Minnesota. It’s so good, you won’t believe it’s lactose-free.
Made on-site, their super-premium ice cream is rich, creamy, and completely lactose-free—so everyone in the family can enjoy it (even me, the worst lactose-free girlie to ever come out of Wisconsin). With an ever-changing roster of 24 flavors, there’s always something new to try, from classic Oreo (my personal favorite) to unique, seasonal combinations. You can enjoy your scoops on the beautiful outdoor patio – or grab a pint or quart to go. It’s the perfect treat to cap off a day of family fun in Crosby!
Want to make a charcuterie board to enjoy at the cabin? Victual has everything you need for a delicious spread, from gourmet meats and cheeses to olives, crackers, nuts, and dried fruit. In fact, they offer one of the best selections of gourmet cheeses in the state! Be sure to grab a few things to take home, too.
