Where to Stay in Lyon County with Kids

If you’re planning an Iowa family vacation and wondering where to stay in Lyon County with kids, look no further than The Bradley Inn of Larchwood. Hands down, this was one of the best stays we’ve ever experienced! There’s an outdoor pool, garden, patio, and even a huge playground just across the street.

Located in the heart of Larchwood, this beautifully restored late-1800s bed and breakfast is family-owned, warm, and welcoming. Jennifer and Brett, the innkeepers, absolutely spoiled us—from the cozy rooms to the homemade breakfast spread. On the weekends, they even offer a delightful little happy hour with homemade schnapps, wine, and charcuterie.
We stayed in the spacious family suite, which had two comfy beds, a private bathroom, a coffee nook, a table for games or snacks, and even a separate entrance. It was quiet, cozy, and perfect for traveling with kids.
If you’re exploring Lyon County with kids, this charming inn will undoubtedly be the highlight of the whole trip (it was for us!).
